Dynamics Lab Annual Bowling Tournament 2005

 

The team this year was once again coached by Ed Jones with the same sad results as the last few years. I guess the fact he is lab manager has no bearing on why he is the coach (every year). As in every year there were a few standouts and more than a few disappointments. On the standout side Mick Dickerson took the place of the ailing Gary West as anchor of the home team and performed admirably. Although he did show up with a new purple ball which really wasn’t unexpected but what was unexpected were the aluminum bowling shoes which left him looking like the Tin Man from the wizard of OZ. Another shining star was Diane from team B who beat Mark (her husband) like a step child. Antoine the newest addition to team B proved to be an asset and I’m sure will be invited back next year. Then there was Jeannie who subs each year for Ed so he won’t be embarrassed about the way he bowls or as he puts it can tend to his coaching duties. The brightest shining star of all was Bennett French who subbed for Gary West who whimpped out at the last minute. Bennett performed admirably on the lanes using a color coordinated ladies ball but did find himself a bit confused about just how, the bathroom door operated. Jan and Darryl (AKA Shreck) showed up with professional bowling outfits Jan sporting a striking Pink Lady’s bowling shirt and Shreck in a stunning black ensemble sponsored by the AIRMAIDS. Denny who appeared to be a little stiff (referred to as Herman Munster by the coach) bowled two respectable games before the wheels came off in the third game. And then there is Jeremy (the coaches pick) the only member of either team with less than a 100 average. But as always a great time was had by all and the Home team handed team B another embarrassing defeat.
